Thursday, July 24, 11.00 a.m.
“ Teacher, teacher, how to say ‘berani’ in English,”asked one of the girls.
“Ermm…Brave or bold, you guys can choose either one,” said me.
“ Cikgu, cikgu, nak pilih lagu lain boleh tak?”, asked one of the boys.
“ I think we can. What song do you guys want?,” asked me.
Today was the most unforgettable day in my life!!! Students from Smk Taman Ria Jaya came here to attend a motivation camp. I was one of the facilitators for language games and sing along session. For the language games, we had prepared several activities for the students. There are blow n burst, elephant memory, let’s guess, modern tales and so on. I think my group truly enjoyed all the activities that we have prepared for them. I could see that they were very energetic and excited. Well, some of them were very reserved, but I encouraged them not to be shy and to enjoy themselves.
At 2.30 p.m we had a sing along session at Bukhary Hall. My group’s theme was ‘School’. They had to create a lyric based on a malay song entitled ‘Ruang Rindu’ by Letto. When the time came for my group to perform, I was very nervous. I’m afraid they would screw the performance up..Huhuhu… But they did quite ok and I’m very proud of them. I was so happy to hear that my group got the third place..Horray… At least my group wasn’t the worst. Here's the lyric...
At the end of the session, I congratulated them for their full cooperation. I was so touched when one of them ‘bersalam’ with me...huhuhu...I think I’m going to cry. I didn’t expect them to respect me that much because I’m not yet a teacher. I’m still a trainee teacher. I will not forget them and I wish them good luck in their studies. They have brightened my day!!! Thanks so much you all. I need to pen off rite now...adios…
Love,
Tina

We are the members of Ria Jaya,
Standing here proudly,
With pure heart,
Our mission is to be the best,
Success is our dreams,
To lead a better life,
We love our school
And we love our teachers,
School is a nice place,
To gain knowledge,
School is a place,
Full of memories,
Where we study and play,
To..gether..
